Remember, a Soirée Tour Manager is recommended for groups of 6 or more travelers. That means you have a built-in concierge during your trip. Your Tour Manager will make sure the logistics of your trip go smoothly, help you with special requests along the way, offer cultural information and travel tips, orient you to each city, walk you to that market or site that might be hard to find on your own, teach you how to eat the foods of the region, recommend favorite restaurants, and help you arrange your free time plans.
Our comfortable 9-day itinerary pairs well with our Castles, Lakes & Mountains extension (details below) or our Amalfi Coast Experience (as a pre-tour)

Day 2: Colosseum & Forum Guided Tour
Today, on a guided Colosseum tour, you can experience this historic Rome icon to the fullest. After skipping the main entrance line, explore the Colosseum with an informative guide, who shares stories about life in Ancient Rome. Then visit the Roman Forum to complete your tour of Rome’s top ancient sites.
You’ll have plenty of time this afternoon and evening to continue exploring The Eternal City to your heart’s desire!
Day 3: Vatican Guided Tour
This morning you’ll see the highlights of the Vatican on this skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel. Join our knowledgeable guide for a visit to the incomparable Vatican Museums—home to one of the most extensive and impressive art collections in the world. Admire the Raphael Rooms and take in the incomparable frescos of the Sistine Chapel. Afterward embark on a guided tour of St. Peter's Basilica, a work of art in itself.
Create your own Roman Holiday this afternoon as you pursue your own interests in Rome.
Day 4: The Green Heart of Italy
This morning you're off to the region of Umbria, known as the "Green heart of Italy." You can stop for independent exploration in Assisi, birthplace of St. Francis, one of Italy's two patron saints. Afterward, you'll be driven the short distance onward to medieval Perugia for a guided tour. You'll overnight in the area.
Day 5: Siena, Wine tasting & lunch, and Florence
You're off to Tuscany! First stop, Siena, a fabulous village built among the Tuscan hills. Here your expert guide will lead you on our guided walking tour of the city to include one of the most remarkable medieval squares in Europe.
After site-seeing, you'll enjoy a fantastic (and ample) lunch at one of our favorite wineries. But not without a little tour and a big tasting to go with it!
Soon you'll find yourself in Florence where you'll linger for a couple of nights.
Day 6: Florence walking tour with Michelangelo's "David"
This morning you'll see Florence on a walking tour with an expert guide. Visit the world renown Accademia. See one of Michelangelo's most famous works: the breathtaking "David." The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

See both landmarks with your guide on a tour that includes skip-the-line access, so you can make the most of your time in Venice.
Enjoy an afternoon to experience Venice your way before dining on your own and saying farewell to Venice!
