Think winter in Iceland is out of the question?

Not with this exciting, scenic hunt for the Northern Lights!

With temperatures on average above New York City’s, you can experience one of the most exciting natural landscapes on earth, rub elbows with fun-loving locals, and feast on award-winning cuisine.

This extra-small group journey will take you to some of the most magnificent spots in the country with time built in for relaxation in a pampered environment.

All while hunting the night skies for the elusive Northern Lights.

Only visible from mid-October through March, the Northern Lights are a natural light phenomenon that requires distance from city light pollution for best observation.

If the night is clear, and the conditions are right, you can watch nature’s multicolor lights dance across the sky. This Iceland February itinerary provides lots of opportunities to get away from the cities for optimal hunting of this unpredictable, yet spectacular, show.

This is an Active tour. This means we are on the go. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing outdoors in natural conditions for longer periods of time (1-3 hours) should be expected, and should be a reasonable demand considering your physical condition. You can expect to navigate hills and uneven ground, climb into various modes of transportation, and can anticipate changes in elevation. You can expect some longer days balanced with free-time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. Due to uneven and snowy or icy terrain anytime of year, sidewalks, stairs, etc., Iceland is not well-suited for those with significant mobility issues, especially those requiring canes, walkers, or wheelchairs. You will not be allowed to remain in our vehicle when stopped for included experiences, though in some cases there may be visitor centers available for your comfort.
