Instructions for required USA COVID Testing for USA Re-Entry
**Please plan ahead for this MANDATORY USA re-entry testing**
All travelers must present a negative COVID test result taken within 1 day [updated as per CDC Dec 2, 2021] prior to return to the USA. For example, if a flight is departing Europe for the USA on Wednesday at 11:00 am, travelers must test no earlier than Tuesday, at any time of day, and no later than check in at the airport (negative test results must be in hand at check in).
Travelers are responsible for making their own arrangements for return testing. These newly available testing options provide flexibility and convenience, allowing you to test during your trip when the time is right for you.
1. Purchase a self-test kit to bring with you on tour. Several major U.S. airlines (American, United, and Delta) have partnered with Optum, eMed, and Azova to assist passengers with re-entry testing. These companies sell test kits directly from their websites: Optum 2-pack or Optum 3-pack, eMed 6-pack, or Azova individual test kits. For specific directions, including how to order, register for, and use the Optum/eMed test kits, please see below. Please note that a smartphone with a camera and Wi-Fi capability is required for these options.
2. You may also make your own arrangements for in-person testing in your destination. Please be advised that in-country testing may be more expensive, testing locations and appointment availability may be limited, and pre-registration and documentation may be required to schedule a test.

For travelers RETURNING to the US. Tests shipped using expedited shipping and ship same day, if ordered by noon PT Mon–Sat. Orders placed after noon PT or placed on Sunday or holiday, ship next business day.

After you receive your test, visit eMed.com/app/start-testing to begin your virtual visit. An eMed Certified Guide will join you in a video visit to guide you through the testing process. Collecting a sample is an easy and gentle process, no different than using a cotton swab to clean the inside of your nose. See technical requirements for more details.
GETS RESULTS IN 15 MINUTES
Test results will be made available to you right away from within the NAVICA app. When you receive your result, you will also receive a secure digital certificate in the NAVICA app. This certificate allows you to use your smartphone to store, display, and share your test results where applicable. It's important to remember the NAVICA digital certificate should not replace existing measures such as mask-wearing, social distancing, and frequent hand-washing.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I RECEIVE A POSITIVE RESULT?
If you receive a positive result, you should remain in self-isolation, and inform your healthcare provider of your result. Always follow the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
